Scullcap & Valerian - 100 tablets
£
9.20

A licensed herbal medicine for the symptomatic relief of anxiety,
nervousness, excitability and travel sickness, and an adjunct in the treatment of epilepsy in dogs and cats.  The ultimate herbal combination in a sugar-coated
tablet, invaluable to calm and relax dogs and cats suffering from excitability, apprehension, phobias or hyperactivity. Widely used and particularly effective for those suffering from noise phobias as a result of fireworks, thunderstorms or gunfire. Does not cause drowsiness or impair normal behaviour or performance, making it suitable for those who just need to be settled for showing, travelling, training or obedience work.  Given before a journey this tablet will calm nervous travellers but is also ideal if new surroundings and situations cause apprehension or anxiety, making it a useful training aid for young dogs being introduced to the show ring as well as thunderstorms, fireworks, visits to the vet etc.  In cats, it is also effective in the control of territorial spraying by keeping the cat relaxed and so reducing the urge to mark territory. This is more often a problem in neutered males but is a behaviour that can also be found in dominant females also.  Under veterinary supervision Scullcap & Valerian tablets are used in the control of epilepsy, often in conjunction with orthodox anti-convulsant drugs. Not recommended for pregnant or lactating females.

The full strength extracts in this product provide a concentration that is economical, easy to administer and acts quickly to calm and control
hyperactivity and anxiety in both dogs and cats. Being quickly absorbed into the system it is ideal to give on those occasions when ‘over the top’ or fearful behaviour may be a problem, such as thunderstorms, gunfire, visits to the vet, moving house etc. It can be dropped directly into the mouth or on to food.
Cats find the smell of Valerian Compound particularly attractive and if a few
drops are placed on the cat’s bedding, a reduction in anxiety is quickly
apparent and even unmanageable cats become calmer and easier to handle.  Please NOTE: Caution should be taken when administering this product to exotic cats with low body fat, as very occasionally hyperactivity has been induced by the use of this product in these breeds.

Glucosamine & Chondroitin - 100 tablets
£

To complement our licensed medicines to treat arthritis, Garlic & Fenugreek
tablets and Mixed Vegetable tablets, we recently introduced this popular joint supplement.  We use top quality Glucosamine hydrochloride (HCL) because it is better absorbed by dogs and enhances the body's ability to manufacture collagen and proteoglycans.  These are essential for rebuilding joints and increasing synovial fluid to lubricate the joints. We have chosen not to add lots of additional things into this formulation but to simply produce a top quality supplement with pharmaceutical grade Glucosamine and marine based Chondroitin sulphate. Healthy animals produce enough Glucosamine themselves to keep their cartilage healthy, but in older animals where wear and tear is starting to cause problems or following injury or damage they often require a little bit more to keep their joints healthy. Chondroitin has a number of functions but ultimately works synergistically with the glucosamine.
Ingredients: Glucosamine HCL 400mg; Chondroitin Sulphate 200mg (marine source).
Dosing Instructions
Small dogs & cats 1 tablet ; Medium dogs 2 tablets ; Large dogs 3 tablets ; Giant breeds 4 tablets reducing to half this amout after one month

The highly digestible ingredients and low fat content make it an ideal food for those with poor digestion. It soothes the entire digestive system and helps to slow the passage of food through the digestive tract, so is of great benefit for acute intestinal absorptive disorders and can be given both during and in the recovery period following acute diarrhoea.
